Salax Awards are back!

Ikirezi Group in collaboration with Radio Salus, are organising yet another music awards event dubbed Salax Awards—slated for March 27. This year’s event will honour the works of outstanding musicians in different categories, and for the first time it will be held in Kigali at Petit Stadium.

Ikirezi Group in collaboration with Radio Salus, are organising yet another music awards event dubbed Salax Awards—slated for March 27.

This year’s event will honour the works of outstanding musicians in different categories, and for the first time it will be held in Kigali at Petit Stadium.

According to the organisers, nominations will be done by SMS and Internet. Fans will vote for their favourite musicians. This will be followed by Hope Night, on March 19, when the nominees will have a climax performance at the National University of Rwanda (NUR).

These musicians will compete in a number of categories that include; Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Song of the year, Album of the year, Best Music Group, Best Cultural Troup, Best Entertainer, Most Valuable Player, Best Video, Best Hip Hop Singer, Best RNB singer, Best Teen Artist, Best Afro Beat Singer, Best New Artist, Best Producer and Best Gospel Signer

New categories that didn’t feature last year have been added to the list. These are, Song of the year, Album of Year, Best Video, Best Cultural Troup, Most Valuable Player and Best Entertainer.

The Salax Awards event is sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and Culture, NUR and IPROMO Ltd.
