The fight against HIV/AIDS can be won

Editor, I’M confident that the fight against the killer HIV virus can be fought and won in this country of ours. With the availability of condoms, ARV’s and the media campaign, the HIV rates in this country will continue to plummet. This is especially true when one considers that the National Centre for the fight against HIV (CNLS) increased the distribution of condoms around the country by 54.8 percent during the last three months.

Editor,

I’M confident that the fight against the killer HIV virus can be fought and won in this country of ours. With the availability of condoms, ARV’s and the media campaign, the HIV rates in this country will continue to plummet.

This is especially true when one considers that the National Centre for the fight against HIV (CNLS) increased the distribution of condoms around the country by 54.8 percent during the last three months.

Campaigns like this one, which began in December, last year, will surely lower the HIV rates. However, distribution of condoms isn’t enough.

There must only a sensitization program that involved every facet of Rwandan life. Continue using the media CNLS, you are making great inroads. We can defeat this scourge.
