The Easter Jubilee Music Concert at BK Arena drew worshippers from across Kigali for an evening of worship, music, and reflection, headlined by Rwandan gospel duo Ben & Chance.
Although the concert was scheduled to begin at 3 PM, proceedings got underway later in the evening.
By the time MCs—led by journalist Egidie Bibio Ingabire—took to the stage at around 6:50 PM, anticipation had already begun to build. While the arena was initially sparsely filled, more attendees continued to stream in until it reached full capacity.
Pastor Christophe Ngoga opened the night with popular songs "Untware” and "Ndabyemeye,” instantly drawing the audience into a vibrant mood of praise. His performance set a joyful tone for the evening.
A dynamic dance and drama presentation by Move4Christ Ministry followed, keeping the crowd engaged, before Fidele Masengo took to the stage to officially welcome guests.
One of the standout moments came from rising duo Alicia and Germaine, who took the stage at 7:56 PM. Hailing from Rubavu, the pair delivered a high-energy three-song set that marked their biggest performance yet, earning a warm reception from the audience.
The headliners, Ben & Chance, finally stepped on stage at 8:40 PM for what was their first concert at the 10,000-seater arena. The couple, who have ministered together for over a decade, led worship with songs including "Itegure Urahetse” and "Urupfu”—a collaboration with Tracy Agasaro and Rene Patrick. Their performance resonated deeply, with the audience singing along and dancing throughout.
As the night progressed, the concert also featured a moment of preaching and reflection on the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Julienne Kabanda delivered a sermon based on Matthew 25:1, urging believers to examine their faith and live out their Christian values.
As the event neared its conclusion, Papi Clever and Dorcas took to the stage, adding to what had become a memorable evening for gospel duos.
Ben & Chance returned to close the concert, bringing the night to a powerful end as attendees left the arena with a sense of spiritual reflection and renewed inspiration.
The couple intends to make the concert an annual concept dedicated for Easter.
