Rwandan cyclist Moise Mugisha says he is ready for the 2026 Tour of Vietnam, scheduled for April 4-15.
Mugisha was invited by Police Cycling Team of Vietnam to strengthen their squad for the international race.
He travelled to Vietnam last month aboard Ethiopian Airlines and has been training with his teammates.
"I am ready. I have been training on the roads we will use, and I’m determined to give my best and repay their trust,” Mugisha said.
The race, a UCI 2.2 event, will feature 10 stages and a circuit around Xuan Huong Lake, kicking off in Ho Chi Minh City.
It will bring together over 15 teams from countries including Spain, Norway, Australia, Kazakhstan, China, and Thailand.
"I received an invitation and they covered everything. I want to make the most of this opportunity,” he added.
The 28-year-old enjoyed a strong 2022 season, winning the Royal Nyanza Race, Kibeho Race, and Musanze Gorilla Race.
He also made history by becoming the first Rwandan to win a stage at Tour du Rwanda since the race was upgraded to UCI 2.1 in 2019.
