Police VC head coach Fred Musoni has admitted that "the title slipped through our hands” last season, but vowed to avoid a repeat before his side’s clash against Rwanda Energy Group (REG) in Game 1 of national volleyball league finals at Petit Stade on Wednesday, April 1.
Police VC head into the finals determined to make amends after falling short in last season’s title battle against eventual champions APR VC. Their return to the finals follows an impressive semifinal campaign in which they swept past Gisagara VC without dropping a single match in the best-of-five series.

Despite concerns raised over refereeing decisions during the semifinals—even with the presence of Video Challenge System—Musoni insists his team remains fully focused on the task ahead.
"I don’t doubt our referees because, at the end of the day, they face the same pressure as we do in making decisions. For us, we are ready,” he told Times Sport.
Standing in Police’s way is a resurgent REG side, returning to the finals for the first time since lifting the title in 2023. After two underwhelming seasons, Benon Mugisha and his side will be equally motivated to reclaim their place at the top—setting up what promises to be a tightly contested series.
