Rwanda vs Estonia (Amahoro Stadium, 19:30 CAT)

Rwanda’s Amavubi take on Estonia in the FIFA Series 2026 Group B final on Monday at Amahoro Stadium.

The hosts head into the decisive clash on the back of a commanding 4–0 victory over Grenada in the semifinals. That result marked a historic milestone, as it was the first time the national team faced—and defeated—an opponent from outside Africa.

Now, Amavubi have another opportunity to make history as they face European opposition Estonia.

Head coach Stephen Constantine, who is enjoying a strong start to his second stint with the team, has expressed confidence ahead of the encounter. However, he remains cautious of the challenge posed by Estonia.

"What is on my mind is to win the game against Estonia. The boys worked hard in the previous match against Grenada, but this is a different game. Our focus is to win,” said Constantine.

"It will be a tough match against a very organised Estonia side that understands the game well, so we need to be ready.”

The 63-year-old coach has urged his players to stay grounded despite their recent win, stressing that there is still work to be done. While confident, he acknowledged that Estonia will present a far greater test than their semifinal opponents.

Amavubi have shown strong cohesion and attacking intent throughout the tournament, but Estonia’s discipline and structure could prove decisive.

A victory would not only secure the title but also underline Rwanda’s growing status on the international stage, particularly with a win over European opposition.

Opportunity to shine

Constantine praised the FIFA Series initiative, highlighting its importance in developing the team.

"It is a great initiative from FIFA because it gives African countries a unique opportunity to play teams like Estonia. It helps us build a stronger team,” he said.

"It allows our players to test themselves and understand where we are in terms of preparation and development as a country. Playing European teams like Estonia is a valuable experience.”

Meanwhile, Kenya’s Harambee Stars will face Grenada in the third-place playoff earlier in the day at Amahoro Stadium. Kenya dropped into the playoff after a semifinal defeat to Estonia and will be aiming to end their campaign on a positive note.
