Ruhango, German district celebrate 25 yrs of partnership

RUHANGO – The Governor of the Southern Province, has lauded residents of Landau district in the German Province of Rhineland-Palatinate for their continued support to residents of Ruhango district. Fidèle Ndayisaba, made the remarks during the celebrations to mark 25 years of partnership between residents of Ruhango and Landau district held in Ruhango sector recently.

RUHANGO – The Governor of the Southern Province, has lauded residents of Landau district in the German Province of Rhineland-Palatinate for their continued support to residents of Ruhango district.

Fidèle Ndayisaba, made the remarks during the celebrations to mark 25 years of partnership between residents of Ruhango and Landau district held in Ruhango sector recently.

Ndayisaba said, "the cooperation should be sustained since it has built grounds for exchange of culture and developmental aspects between the two countries since 1984.”

According to Ruhango Mayor, Célestin Twagirumukiza, Landau residents have contributed towards various development projects in education and health.

The Bourgmetre of Landau, Hans Dieter Schlimmer, also commended local leaders and Ruhango residents for putting the funds into proper use.

The Governor and Landau representatives also commissioned a fully furbished multi-purpose hall, worth 60,000 Euros.

The hall will be mostly used by Christians- who hold monthly prayer sessions at ‘Yezu Inyirimpuhwe’ center in Ruhango district.
