THE national football governing body, Ferwafa has ruled out any build-up games for the Amavubi Stars’ ahead of next month’s Nations’ Cup qualifier against Liberia.

Amavubi host Liberia at Amahoro stadium on September 9 in their final qualifier.

Ferwafa’s Chief Executive Officer, Jules Kalisa has dismissed recent rumours that Rwanda would play against a number of East African countries before the Liberia game.

"We have not planned any build-up games for the Amavubi Stars’ before the Liberia game. We have not been in contact with any East African country because it is wastage of time and resources,” he said.

Kalisa says that the ten-day training program is enough time for the team to get in shape for the Liberia game.

Rwanda is at the foot of Group V with three points after one win and four defeats.

Rwanda will play Liberia in Kigali while group leaders Cameroon travel to Malabo for their crucial tie against Equatorial Guinea.
