RWANDA OTC MARKET REPORT; Week ended February 26th, 2010

Equity Market This week the Rwanda OTC market recorded a turnover of Rwf 96,000 from 600 KCB shares traded in one recorded transaction.  The KCB shares remained at Rwf 160. At the end of the session, there were no offers or bids. This week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), shares traded in a slightly lower range in general compared to the previous week. KCB shares fluctuated between 21.75Kshs (162 Rfw) high and 20.50Kshs (Rwf153) low.

Equity Market

This week the Rwanda OTC market recorded a turnover of Rwf 96,000 from 600 KCB shares traded in one recorded transaction.  The KCB shares remained at Rwf 160. At the end of the session, there were no offers or bids.

This week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), shares traded in a slightly lower range in general compared to the previous week. KCB shares fluctuated between 21.75Kshs (162 Rfw) high and 20.50Kshs (Rwf153) low.

On Thursday, a total of 1,157,400 shares were traded and closed at 20.75 Kshs (154Rfw). The NSE All share index closed the week higher at 79.16 compared to the previous week’s closing of 78.13.

The Bond Market: Today the bond market was quiet as no transactions were reported.  At the close of business, there were no buyers or sellers.

There were BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50 but no buyers.
