"Be good role models in your communities, set an example in your villages, in your work, in schools, and in leadership. Be the youth who provide solutions wherever you are,” Bazivamo said as the Youth League elected new committee members.

He reminded them that they have opportunities that previous generations did not, especially the advantage of growing up alongside modern technology.

"On social media platforms, where you are active in different spaces, we urge you to be exemplary and to promote the truth. Avoid the misuse of these platforms, protect the image of our country, fight against misinformation and division, and use these platforms as tools to contribute to national development,” Bazivamo said.

"Always remember, whether you are at home or abroad, that you represent Rwanda. Your behaviour and actions should be guided by integrity, good character, dedication, a strong work ethic, and love for your country.”

The party leader encouraged the youth to actively participate in national development and promote unity, while keeping away from harmful habits.

RPF Vice Chairperson Consolée Uwimana also challenged the youth to take the lead in innovating and finding solutions to challenges facing their communities and the country, beginning with efforts in their own local areas.

She warned that youth cannot contribute effectively to national development if they continue engaging in harmful habits such as drunkenness and promiscuity.

"We urge you to study diligently and value work, as this is where you gain knowledge and prepare for the future,” Uwamana said.

"Participate in government programmes, understand the direction of the country, know the vision of our leadership, and recognise the role you are expected to play. When you are fully aware of these, nothing can go wrong for you.”

The newly elected committee of the RPF Youth League is led by Ernest Mugisha as President, with Nelly Rwagitare serving as Vice President and Esther Urindwa Kwizera as Secretary General.

Other members include Israel Nuru Mupenzi as Commissioner for Good Governance, Valentine Niyodusingize as Commissioner for Economy, Kesly Kayiteshonga as Commissioner for Justice, and Gerinus Icyoyishakiye as Commissioner for Social Welfare.
