JEAN CLAUDE Gasigwa failed to win the prize money of the ITF/CAT East Africa money circuit after losing to Kenyan Dennis Ochieng yesterday in the semi-finals of the lucrative tournament at Lugogo courts, Kampala.

Gasigwa lost the first set 7-6 on tie break, but he picked himself to win the second set 7-5. Ochieng forced Gasigwa into conceding the third set as the Kenyan won it 7-6 on tie break again.

Uganda’s top seed Duncan Mugabe won the tournament after beating Ochieng 6-3, 6-3 in the Men’s Singles final. Mugabe had trounced another Kenyan Francis Rogoi 6-3 6-1 in the semi-finals.
