Rayon Sport went to the top of the national league table for the first time this season after a narrow 1-0 win over Mukura in Huye yesterday.

Defender Aimable Rucogoza was the an unlikely hero when he scored his first goal of the season which earned the Blues maximum points and took them top of the table standing with 31 points, one ahead of APR in second and two better than Etincelles in third.

Etincelles were held to a 1-all draw against Police at Nyamirambo stadium. Abdul Karim Gashugi put Police in lead in the first half before Jean de Dieu pulled a second half equalizer for the Rubavu side.

SC Kiyovu was forced to a goalless draw by visitors Amagaju while Marines earned free points in Umuganda stadium as Musanze failed to honour the match.
