NYANZA coach Hamza Rwabukwisi has revealed that ‘exceeding hunger for silverware’ is the secret behind his team’s unbeaten record this season.

Nyanza has not lost a game this season and after last week’s 2-1 win over rivals Kibuye, the second division side has opened up a four-point lead at the top of Group A.

From the six remaining fixtures, Nyanza have three away games but Rwabukwisi is confident that his young side can cope with anything that is thrown at them.

"We decided to invest in young players three years ago and you can now see that all the hard work and patience is starting to pay off,” said the 42-year-old coach.

The Southern province side, whose average age is 23, last played in the top flight back in 2002.
