SC Kiyovu came from behind to defeat AS Kigali 3–1 on Sunday at Kigali Pele Stadium, moving up to seventh place in the Rwanda Premier League standings.

AS Kigali started brightly and opened the scoring through Sunday Inemesit in the 15th minute. However, their lead did not last long as Kiyovu mounted a strong comeback.

Yakubu Uwimana leveled the score before halftime, before Aviti Ndikumana put Kiyovu ahead in the 69th minute. Fidali Uwiyaremye sealed the victory deep into stoppage time, scoring in the 90 4th minute to make it 3–1.

The win lifts SC Kiyovu to seventh place with 36 points.

Meanwhile, APR FC ended their three-match winless run with a 2–0 victory over Musanze FC at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday.

Ronald Ssekiganda and William Mel Togui were on target as the army side climbed to the top of the table with 46 points, one ahead of second-placed Al-Hilal SC, who have played three games fewer.

Elsewhere, AS Muhanga defeated Mukura Victory Sports 2–1 at Muhanga Stadium as they continue their fight against relegation.

Onesme Twagizimana opened the scoring in the 14th minute before Mensah Boateng equalized for the visitors in the 73rd minute. Jean Claude Mugiraneza netted the winner in the 83rd minute to secure victory for the Muhanga-based side.

The win moves AS Muhanga out of the relegation zone, although they remain 16th on the table with 21 points.
