Saturday, March 14, 2026

Former 2024 champion Marco Trungelliti will face Italy’s Marco Cecchinato in Sunday’s final of the Rwanda Challenger at the IPRC Kigali Ecology Tennis Court.

Trungelliti booked his place in the final after defeating Zdenek Kolar 6–3, 6–3 in the semifinals.

The 36-year-old Argentine delivered a commanding performance, relying on consistent serving and strong baseline play to secure the victory without dropping a set.

He now returns to the Kigali final two years after winning the title on his debut appearance in 2024.

Earlier in the day, Cecchinato advanced to the final after beating second seed Arthur Gea in straight sets, 6–3, 6–4.

The Italian used his experience and tactical discipline to control key moments of the match, keeping the Frenchman under constant pressure throughout both sets.

The final will see two experienced players battle for the 2026 Rwanda Challenger title in Kigali.
