KIGALI - Ecole Antoine de Saint-Exupery is scheduled to reopen in September, four years after it was closed.
The development was revealed by the new French Ambassador to Rwanda, Laurent Contini in an interview with The New Times.

"We will start with the nursery and primary sections of the school. The secondary section will be reopened later,” Contini said.

The school was among the French institutions that were closed in November 2006 after a French judge; Jean-Louis Bruguiere issued arrest warrants against nine government officials.

Contini added that the French Cultural Centre which was also closed at the same time will also be reopened soon.

"Currently we are finalizing the project proposal on the cultural centre which we will soon submit to those concerned [Kigali City Council] for approval before its reopened,” he said.
