NYANZA coach Hamza Rwabukwisi is determined to guide his club to the top flight next season after Sunday’s crucial 2-1 victory over Group A rivals Kibuye.

Hassan Dusange’s second half brace was enough to see his side through despite a last gasp header from Kibuye’s midfielder Eric Habimana.

The result means that Nyanza, who pulled off a similar result over their rivals in the first round are still unbeaten this season. The Southern province side has opened up a four-point lead and Rwabukwisi now has his eyes on the play-offs.

"We have done well but it is not over. We need to maintain such performances in the play-offs.”

In other Group A results, Aspor thumped Zebres 3-0; Intare outscored Pepiniere 3-2, while Etoile de l’Est held Sorwathe to a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Muhanga replaced La Jeunesse at the top of Group B after a 2-0 win. Interforce also moved into second position after a 3-1 win over Union. UNR and Stella Maris also secured valuable wins over Espoir (3-2) and ISAE (3-1).
