RWANDA OTC MARKET REPORT; Week ended February 19, 2010

Equity Market This week the Rwanda OTC market recorded a turnover of Rwf96,000 from 600 KCB shares traded in one recorded transaction.  The KCB shares went down Rwf5 from last week’s closing of Rwf165. At the end of the session, there were no offers or bids. This week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), shares traded down in general compared to the previous week.

Equity Market

This week the Rwanda OTC market recorded a turnover of Rwf96,000 from 600 KCB shares traded in one recorded transaction.  The KCB shares went down Rwf5 from last week’s closing of Rwf165. At the end of the session, there were no offers or bids.

This week on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), shares traded down in general compared to the previous week. KCB shares fluctuated between Ksh22.00 (Rfw163) high and Ksh20.00 (Rwf149) low.

On Thursday, a total of 250,500 KCB shares were traded and closed at Ksh20.75 (Rfw154). The NSE All share index closed the week lower at 78.13 compared to the previous week’s closing of 79.75

The Bond Market:

Today the bond market was quiet as no transactions were reported.  At the close of business, there were no buyers or sellers.

There were BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50 but no buyers.
