Rwanda has hidden talent

As the English adage goes, ‘even the big roosters were once eggs’. All the artists who have gained fame in the last few years were once toddlers in the music industry. Just like Alpha Rurangira was before the Tusker Project Fame (TFP 3), there are many more virgin talents with the potential of being superstars but lack financial back up.

RnB young blood - EMMY

As the English adage goes, ‘even the big roosters were once eggs’. All the artists who have gained fame in the last few years were once toddlers in the music industry.

Just like Alpha Rurangira was before the Tusker Project Fame (TFP 3), there are many more virgin talents with the potential of being superstars but lack financial back up.

Some of those have even released a few songs but were so unlucky that those songs didn’t do well on radio, perhaps their time for fame had not yet come.

Phoebe of the SPC (Silent Pistols Crew) is one of those toddler musicians in question. She bears a voice comparable to that of the R’nB goddess, Beyonce and can as well dance.

She released singles like ‘Commander’ and ‘Break and Dance’ alongside her crewmates but it did not work out for the trio. We wish to see her try fly on her own by going solo because she has the potential.

Karaoke pin-up Rossette is also a good singer but always limited to performing for small audiences. Her latest release is a collabo with famed songbird, Liza.

Though she has already made a great deal of bucks from Karaoke, we would like to see her walk on a red carpet.
And one of the finest pianists in the region, Producer Didier is barely known in the local music industry.

He plays pianos in karaoke performances at several spots like Serena and Mille Collines hotels but could take his talent to a higher level only if he was financially able.
RnB singers Elion Victory and Emmy are also promising artists in the local music industry.

Elion went to a music school in the first half of the last decade and came ready to take on the music industry but met many challenges which have limited his success to-date.

Emmy’s songs are sweet to the ears of the listener with respect of the voice behind them (songs). He is slowly coming to the billboards.

Another hidden talent is producer Junior of the Unlimited Records. He did songs like Jay Polly’s ‘Ndacyariho’ and Diplomate’s ‘Kure Y’imbibi’ but lost form after being shown the exit at F2K Studios.

There are many more talents around the country who have the talent but lack the pocket power to make their dreams come true.

The able and willing personalities had better try investing in this music sector and yield the pride like we did in the Tusker Project hero Alpha.
