This is because as one loiters with nothing constructive on their mind, the higher the chances of them doing something regrettable. It could be alcohol or drug abuse, sex related offences, burglary or worse. In today’s Focus we shall meet Epimaque Hakizimana. He is a perfect example of what idleness can do. He used to be a wife battering drunkard.

It’s said that an idle mind is the devil’s workshop! That’s very true. This is because as one loiters with nothing constructive on their mind, the higher the chances of them doing something regrettable. It could be alcohol or drug abuse, sex related offences, burglary or worse.

In today’s Focus we shall meet Epimaque Hakizimana. He is a perfect example of what idleness can do. He used to be a wife battering drunkard.

However, he is now a reformed man doing constructive activities like engaging in Family Planning campaigns, making soap locally which he distributes to fellow villagers and much more.

This way, Hakizimana keeps a busy schedule thereby denying the devil a potential workshop in his mind.

So, on top of your New Year’s Resolutions which the SundayMag team hopes you haven’t given up on, keep your mind busy.

You can do this by working out strategies that will enable you realise your resolutions, you can also do some sports, read books or relax with your best weekend companion…you guessed right…the SundayMag.
