According to the regulator, the pump prices are set at Rwf1,989 per litre for gasoline (petrol) and Rwf1,948 per litre for diesel, a slight increase from Rwf1900 during that review.

RURA said the pricing reflects prevailing trends in the international market for refined petroleum products, as well as measures taken by the Government to cushion consumers against fluctuations driven by global developments.

The announcement comes amid concerns over rising global commodity prices, with fuel and other imported goods facing upward pressure due to ongoing geopolitical tensions.

The new price ceiling is in effect through early May 2026. RURA conducts fuel price reviews on a bi-monthly basis.
