AS Muhanga 1-0 Police FC

Rutsiro FC 3-2 Marine FC

Mukura Victory Sports delivered a stunning performance on Saturday afternoon, halting Al Hilal’s unbeaten run with a 3–1 victory at Kamena Stadium in Huye.

Patrick Mutsinzi opened the scoring in the 26th minute, handing the hosts an early advantage that the visitors struggled to overturn despite enjoying large spells of possession.

Just six minutes later, Boateng Mensah doubled Mukura’s lead after an impressive display, putting the Huye-based side firmly in control before halftime. Al Hilal missed a couple of crucial opportunities to reduce the deficit before the break.

The visitors returned stronger in the second half and pushed forward in search of a comeback. Their efforts paid off in the 66th minute when Steven Ebuela pulled one back after weaving past Mukura defenders inside the box.

Al Hilal continued to press for an equalizer, hoping to salvage at least a point. However, their hopes were dashed in the 72nd minute when defender Altayeb Abdelrazig scored an own goal, restoring Mukura’s two-goal cushion and effectively sealing the victory.

The defeat serves as a reality check for Al Hilal ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League quarterfinal clash against RS Berkane.

Despite the loss, Al Hilal remain top of the table with 42 points, level with APR FC, who edged Gorilla FC 2–1 on Friday at Kigali Pelé Stadium.

Elsewhere, Musanze FC denied Rayon Sports the chance to close the gap at the summit after the two sides settled for a 1–1 draw at Ubworoherane Stadium.

Joachim Bienvenue gave Rayon Sports an early lead in the 13th minute, but Musanze equalized in the 64th minute from the penalty spot. Ramazani Tshimanga fouled Christive Bioko inside the box, and Patrick Mbogamizi calmly converted the resulting penalty, sending goalkeeper Olivier Kwizera the wrong way.

At Muhanga Stadium, AS Muhanga’s match against Police FC was halted in the 30th minute due to a waterlogged pitch following heavy rainfall. The hosts were leading 1–0 courtesy of a 16th-minute strike from Martin Fabrice Twizerimana before the match was suspended.

In other fixtures, Rutsiro FC secured a dramatic 4–3 win over Marines FC in a seven-goal thriller at Umuganda Stadium, while Kiyovu Sports and Gicumbi FC played out a 1–1 draw.
