First Lady Jeannette Kagame attended Green Hills Academy’s annual Rwanda Festival on Friday, February 27, joining students, parents, and other guests in celebrating culture through music and traditional dance.

Organised by Inkera y’Abato troupe, composed of students from Green Hills Academy, the celebration was also attended by Minister of Education Joseph Nsengimana, Mayor of the City of Kigali Samuel Dusengiyumva, and State Minister for Youth and Arts Sandrine Umutoni.

This year’s theme, "IKIVI,” meaning continuity, reflects the ongoing commitment to preserve and build upon past achievements.

The event echoed the central message of intergenerational responsibility, the duty to carry forward the values, resilience, and unity that define the nation.

The festival featured a variety of traditional dances, poetry and songs from students, showcasing the richness of Rwandan heritage.

Among the guest performers was Ruti Joel, whose appearance added a contemporary touch to the evening’s traditional flair, further energising the audience.
