Police VC defeated APR VC in straight sets (25–17, 25–22, 25–15) on Friday at Petit Stade to boost their chances of qualifying for the national volleyball league playoffs.
Fred Musoni and his men came into the match knowing that victory would strengthen their push for a top-four finish as the race for playoff spots intensifies.

Police showed composure against APR, who remain top of the standings with 33 points despite the loss.
The law enforcers dominated the opening set 25–17 and maintained their rhythm throughout the contest. Anchored by opposite attacker Elphas Makuto, they took the second and third sets 25–22 and 25–15 respectively to complete the sweep.
"We played with full focus on securing the win. Of course, we still have unfinished business, but the mood remains the same,” Musoni told Times Sport.
Elsewhere, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) strengthened their playoff hopes by defeating Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) 3–1 (17–25, 25–21, 25–15, 25–11). The victory earned REG three crucial points, bringing their tally to 30 and keeping them firmly in contention.
In the women’s category, Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) suffered a setback in their bid for a top-four finish after falling to Kepler WVC in a five-set thriller (25–22, 24–26, 20–25, 25–20, 10–15).
The defeat leaves RRA clinging to fourth place, just two points ahead of East African University Rwanda Volleyball Club (EAUR), who sit fifth with 15 points. With the playoff race tightening, coach Elie Mutabazi’s side must carefully manage the pressure to avoid slipping out of contention.
