Kiyovu Sports vs APR FC (Kigali Pele Stadium, 3:00PM CAT)
After settling for a 1–1 draw in the league at Amahoro Stadium over the weekend, Kiyovu SC and APR FC renew their rivalry on Tuesday when they clash in the Peace Cup Round of 16 at Kigali Pele Stadium.
The Mumena-based outfit are determined to eliminate the military side from this year’s competition, and head coach Francis Haringingo remains confident ahead of the high-stakes encounter.
Haringingo, who previously lifted the Peace Cup with Mukura VS in 2018 and Rayon Sports in 2023, says his ambition is clear this season.
"Our target is to win at least one trophy this season. I am happy that we are playing against a big team like APR because it pushes us to prepare well,” he said.
"We recently missed out on three points against them in the league, but honestly, I am here to give them a real challenge. We will fight. It will be a difficult battle, but we must embrace the challenge if we want to achieve our goal.”
Elsewhere in the Round of 16, 2024/25 finalists Rayon Sports will face second-tier side City Boys, while Musanze FC take on Gasogi United.
The return leg fixtures are scheduled for March 3 and 4.
