KARONGI – Internal auditors in the seven districts of the Western Province have been called upon to enhance good working relationships with the various institutions that they work for.

The call was made by Anastase Manase, the Government’s chief internal auditor while meeting internal auditors from the western region last week.

During the meeting which was held at the provincial headquarters, Manase also asked the auditors to exhibit integrity and professionalism in their work in order to achieve the objectives of the institutions they serve.

"You can always offer advice and guidelines in order to curb financial errors in government institutions. This adds value to the kind of work that you do,” Manase said.

He added that within their working sites undertaking timely audit was important for the purposes of boosting service delivery within Government.

In the meeting, the district finance heads were urged to explain to sector level authorities the details of funds they disburse.
