Rwandan leading fashion designer/actor, Daddy De Maximo Mwicira Mitali has confirmed reports that he is organising the 4th edition Fashion Festival.

The seven-day festival, slated to kick off from late June, will showcase the works of his fashion agency, featuring top models from Rwanda, Burundi and Kenya.

"The main objective for this year’s fashion festival is to celebrate the Rwandan beauty and the course to fashion,” Mitali said. "However, I’ve not yet fixed the dates for the event, because I’m still looking for sponsors.”

"I want to make it the best fashion festival ever but its unfortunate Rwandans haven’t yet developed the culture of supporting and sponsoring local talents.”

After participating in the recent African Fashion Fair at the Alliance Française de Nairobi, courtesy of Lucy Rao of Rialto fashions, Mitali is geared to present his unique and finest creations.

According to the designer, the new creations will cater to those interested in fashion, elegance and beauty and will offer the latest updates from the Dadmax Agency as well as insights to behind-the-scenes activity onsite.

The festival will be held at Kigali Serena hotel and at the Petit Stade. Local and regional artists will grace the gala.
