Green Hills children talk about sharing and showing kindness to Haiti

“Haitian people are very poor besides what happened to them during the earthquake. If I see anyone that is in a critical condition, I feel compelled to do something to help them get out of that situation.” Linda Gasana, 10, P.5.

"Haitian people are very poor besides what happened to them during the earthquake. If I see anyone that is in a critical condition, I feel compelled to do something to help them get out of that situation.”

Linda Gasana, 10, P.5.

"By the time I saw the shocking news everywhere, my next step was to think of what I could do. I never knew how to help them but there was something in my heart that kept my mind thinking of doing something to help.”

Sierra Teta, 10, P.5.

"It was our time as little children to think of how we can help our fellow children in Haiti. Africans at large need to stand up and build up other schools and shelter for the people that were affected by the earthquake.”

Brandon Nganji, 10, P.6.

"Helping doesn’t have to only happen when there is a big problem; we should help the people who are in need especially here in our Rwanda where there are many orphans who were left behind by the Genocide. People should always remember them.”

Vadim Boamah, 9, P.4.

"It’s good to help because the people you have helped feel like there is someone out there who thinks about them. It does not end there, because it shows that someone has taken their time and money to help you.”

Rowera Kayizire 9, P.4.

"Everyman should be kind and have the heart of helping people who are in need. I like going to church because that is where I learn to love my friend as I love myself.”

Nicole Karasira 7, P.2.

"My parents taught me to love everyone. At school they told us to help Haitian people and my parents never asked why I needed the money, they knew that I wanted to help other kids in Haiti.”

Noah Masozera 2, P.2.
