Oh gosh, she hated her big sister. Why was she that bad, to Lisa and her parents? Why was she never number one in class? With all these questions, Lisa was convinced that Silvia, her older sister was the worst kid on earth.

"Dear God, can’t you give me another sister,” Lisa prayed.
She had all the reasons to dislike her; Silvia was such a stubborn girl! Silvia always watched her favourite TV shows; she never cared about what her little sister liked.

She was such a selfish girl. Silvia beat up Lisa all the time, she was such a bully.

"She hates me, there is no reason to love her,” Lisa told her mum.

The two sisters always fought regardless of their mother’s efforts to unite them. Lisa and Silvia lived under the same roof but they never talked to each other.

"You can’t even say goodmorning!” exclaimed Silvia.
Lisa simply walked out.  In an instant, she heard Silvia screaming.

When she dashed back, Lisa saw her big sister lying on the floor. Silvia had fallen down, she was motionless. She had the worst asthma attack ever, it had never happened before!

"Mummy, will she be alright? I just realized how much I love her. I can’t imagine life without my only sister,” said a sorrowful Lisa.

On the way to hospital, Lisa couldn’t stop thinking about the way she had been so mean towards her big sister.

Much as Silvia was stubborn, she deserved to be loved.
"Why did I refuse to greet her in the morning,” wondered Lisa.

Caught up in all these thoughts, Lisa remembered the terrible earthquake that happened in Haiti.

"Possibly those people never got the last chance to show love and care to their relatives,” Lisa silently said.

On that day, Lisa vowed to love her family, friends and other people, regardless of how they behaved. She wouldn’t waste another minute on hate and unconstructive furry.

"God, let Silvia get better. Grant me a second chance to love her,” Lisa said.

When Silvia got better, Lisa loved her, more than anything. They shared everything.

Lisa’s love and patience made Silvia a better person. The two sisters came to realize how love can melt hearts and positively change people.

"So, what are we doing after home work? Perhaps we can help mum in the kitchen,” Silvia suggested.

Daily, the two sisters loved and complimented each other.
There were no more fights in their family because love was present.
