As you read this week’s issue, you will realise that the theme surrounds character building, care and love for others.

We chose this theme because we believe that having good morals and a good character is very important for everyone.

Character can be groomed in different ways. Having discipline, self control, kindness, love, patience, gentleness, integrity are what groom good character. Eventually all these things lead to the development of good leaders.

If you want to be a good leader you should have the ability to influence others for the better. In other words, a leader is anyone who influences other people.

This can be in a good or bad way, but today all we want are good leaders.
Anyone can be a leader and it’s not only your school Head prefects and class monitors who are leaders. Anyone can be a leader as long as they develop and groom good character in their lives.

Doing the smallest things like greeting others to big things like working together and helping one another is important.

A good example is what the students at Green Hills Academy did when they united to help other children who are suffering in Haiti.

Enjoy your life as you begin your journey towards becoming a good leader.
