Officers of the Rwanda National Police (RNP) and Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) are taking part in the ongoing UAE SWAT Challenge in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The elite Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) games started on Saturday, February 7.Three Rwandan teams participating in the games that attracted 109 teams from around the world.
Two Kazakh teams led the list on Day One, with 109 and 108 points, respectively. One Russian team ranked 3rd with 107 points.
RNP SWAT Team II ranked 12th with 99 points while RNP SWAT Team II ranked 23rd, with 88 points. The Rwanda Defence Force SOF Team ranked 33rd with 78 points.
Previous performance
Rwanda has participated in six out of seven editions of the UAE SWAT Challenge, which began in 2019.
In the 2025 edition, RNP SWAT Team I finished in the 11th place, with 407 points. RNP SWAT Team II came 18th with 357 points.
