APR vs St.George

ST. George’s new signings Jimmy Gatete and Aime Ndizeye ‘Ndanda’ are expected to line up against their former team-APR when the two clubs face-off in the first of two friendlies at Nyamirambo’s regional stadium.

The pair was booted out of the club and is desperate to prove a point, especially Ndanda who only learnt of his dismissal from the media.

The Ethiopian side arrived in the country last evening aboard Ethiopian airways and is currently staying in Alpha Palace hotel.

APR Secretary General Adolphe Kalisa has now revealed that the club’s opening second round tie against Police, which was supposed to take place on Saturday will now be played next Wednesday.

Kalisa also expects a competitive clash.
"It’s a friendly but we expect both teams to give their all. The fans want a good display from the team.”

For APR, the game is part of their preparations for their Champions League tie against Angola’s Recreativo de Libolo.

Should APR overcome the Angolans over the two-legged contest, they will play reigning champions TP Mazembe of DRC in the next round.
