From cultural showcases and live music to gaming tournaments and fashion-forward nights out, Kigali offers plenty of ways to commemorate the occasion while enjoying the city’s vibrant social scene.

Atelier du Vibe – Fridays at Atelier du Vin

Friday nights get smoother, louder, and more soulful as Atelier Du Vibe returns with a special live edition. Expect refined sounds and premium vibes with performances by Shaffy Music Live, Vega Drift, and DJ Maric.

Heritage in Motion at L’espace

Concluding tonight, January 30 at 10 p.m., the Heritage in Motion exhibition showcases works by six African artists from the PIJ’ART collective: Ismart Ley, Jomo Dry, Kefa Oyikemi, Edocrp'art, Caleb Muzusa, and Luzindya.

Through hyper-realistic charcoal drawings, gouache paintings, and narrative collages, the exhibition explores how history and identity move with us into the future — inviting reflection on where we come from and where we are headed.

Nzazicundira Concert at Intare Conference Arena

Rwandan cultural troupe Ishyaka ry’Intore presents Nzazicundira, a powerful concert celebrating women and their contributions to Intore culture and Rwanda’s history.

Blending traditional dance, poetry, music, and storytelling, the theatrical performance highlights bravery, sacrifice, and leadership through the stories of Rwandan women.

FC26 mini tournament at Mundi Center

Gamers are invited to test their skills at the FC26 Mini Tournament on PlayStation 5, hosted by Funky Games at Mundi Center.

Designed for both competitive players and casual fans, the event promises fast-paced matches, high energy, and a chance to win cash prizes.

Participants will face off against top local players in a dynamic tournament format, with in-house promotions running throughout the evening.

The tournament takes place Saturday, January 31, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Entry costs Rwf10,000.

Prizes include Rwf150,000 for first place, Rwf100,000 for second place, and a monthly subscription for third place. Special offers on drinks and games will also be available.

Brunch like an Oldie at Bicu Lounge

Step back in time at Brunch Like an Oldie, a daytime gathering that blends classic sounds, good food, and easygoing nostalgia. The old-school brunch and barbecue offers a relaxed social atmosphere where guests can reconnect over familiar hits and shared memories.

The event will be held at Bicu Lounge on January 31, starting at noon. Entrance is Rwf40,000, with a group offer of Rwf35,000 per person for groups of five.

Majestic Night at Four Points by Sheraton Kigali

Majestic Night, an all-white themed experience, will take place on Saturday, January 31, from 6 p.m. to midnight at Four Points by Sheraton Kigali.

The upscale evening blends fashion, music, and nightlife, featuring runway showcases by Matheo Design and Baurice’s Fashion Roof, DJ sets by DJ Kavori, and a live performance by singer Rlutta.

Presented by Kutoni in partnership with Four Points by Sheraton, the event targets Kigali’s fashion and nightlife crowd. Regular tickets cost Rwf20,000, while wine bottle tables are priced at Rwf200,000.

Heroes Day at Le Cravan Lounge

Celebrate courage, culture, and community at Heroes Day at Le Cravan Lounge, located in Kicukiro, Kagarama, on Sunday, February 1.

The evening is dedicated to honoring everyday heroes who inspire and uplift others, with live performances by Kellia and Lauritha Ikirezi, blending traditional rhythms with modern sound.

Time: 6:00 p.m. until late.

Ubutwari Concert at KCEC

Rwanda’s music legends will close the Ubutwari Tour 2026 with a grand concert at the Kigali Convention and Exhibition Centre (KCEC) on February 1, as part of the country’s Heroes Month celebrations.

The national tour began in Nyanza District on January 17 and later visited Nyagatare, Musanze, and Rubavu, before concluding in Kigali.

The final concert will be headlined by veteran artistes Mariya Yohana, Muyango, and Sophia Nzayisenga, celebrating Rwanda’s history, resilience, and shared values through music.
