RENOWNED Rwandan lyricist, rapper and poet, Kivumbi King, is set to perform in Burundi in a concert dubbed "Kivumbi Live in Burundi” slated for December 17, 2022, at Buja Arena, Bujumbura.

Talking to The New Times, Kivumbi says that he has been eagerly looking forward to performing in Burundi, after his successful European tour in April this year.

"I’m really excited that finally I’m going to perform there. We’ve planned it several times but due to certain circumstances, we haven’t been able to do it, but this time I can say that everything is in place,” the ‘Maso y’inyana’ hit-maker says.

Kivumbi says that he is ready to give his all and tells his fans in Burundi to expect a mega performance.

"All I ask my fans over there is to come in large numbers because the show is going to be on fire.”

Asked if it will be a one man show, the ‘Jaja’ singer says that he will collaborate with some local artistes who are yet to be announced.

"Of course some other Burundian artistes will perform, the full line-up will be announced in a few days.”
