Semi-finals
January 28: APR FC vs AS Kigali (Kigali Pelé Stadium, 3:00 PM)
January 29: Rayon Sports FC vs Police FC (Kigali Pelé Stadium, 3:00 PM)
APR FC head coach Taleb Abderrahim has cautioned his players against complacency ahead of their Heroes Cup 2026 semifinal clash with AS Kigali at Kigali Pelé Stadium on January 28.
APR are aiming to defend the Heroes Cup title, a feat that would mark Abderrahim’s second trophy since taking charge of the club in July 2025.
"We need to win the game, which I think would give us more confidence going into the next match. Winning always brings motivation. Our goal is to reach the final,” Abderrahim said.
"AS Kigali are a very tricky side, and we must be fully prepared. We have to approach the challenge with a positive attitude,” he added.
The Heroes Cup, organised annually through a partnership between the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) and the Chancellery for Heroes, National Orders and Decorations of Honour (CHENO), continues to serve as a symbol of honour, remembrance, and sporting excellence.
The winner of the semifinal between APR FC and AS Kigali will face either Police FC or Rayon Sports in the final, scheduled for February 1 at Amahoro Stadium.
Meanwhile, the women’s Heroes Cup final will pit Rayon Sports WFC against Indahangarwa WFC, adding further prestige and excitement to the closing day.
