KENYA Commercial Bank (KCB) has confirmed its readiness to extend their sponsorship towards the 2010 KCB Rwanda Mountain Gorilla set for June 4-6.

The KCB Rwanda Marketing and PRO manager, Aretha Rwagasore, told Sunday Sport Friday that KCB will again fund this year’s Mountain rally which has been reinstated back to the African Rally Championship (ARC) calendar.

"For the second year, we can confirm that KCB will bankroll the Rwanda Mountain Gorilla rally. Sponsorship details will be outlined next week,” Rwagasore said.

Last year, KCB Rwanda injected $50,000 (Rwf28 millions) as part of the sponsorship package for the country’s most prestigious rally competition.

On top of the $50,000 cash package, KCB also facilitated live screening of the rally on DSTV. The three-day rally cost an estimated $170,000 (Rwf95.8 millions).
KCB also sponsors the KCB Kenya Safari Rally and KCB Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally.

According to Rwagasore, KCB’s continued commitment to supporting sport is aimed at achieving its vision of being "the Best Bank in the Region”.

Over the years, the regional bank that recently opened up in Kigali has earned a reputation as one of the biggest corporate companies in East Africa.
