Rayon Sports winger Aziz Bassane has confirmed he will be available for selection when the Blues face Police FC in the 2026 Heroes Cup semifinals at Kigali Pelé Stadium on January 29.

The Senegalese forward has been sidelined since December after sustaining a hand injury during Rayon Sports’ match against Bugesera FC in Nyamata. Medical reports later confirmed a fracture to his left hand, with initial expectations ruling him out for up to two months.

However, Bassane is set to make an earlier-than-expected return after declaring himself fit for action.

"I’m ready to come back,” Bassane said.

The winger missed Rayon Sports’ recent 1-1 draw with Mukura VS but could feature in the semifinal clash against Police FC.

Bassane becomes the latest Rayon Sports player to recover from injury, joining Fall Ngagne, Gloire Tambwe, and Abedi Bigirimana, all of whom have already resumed training.
