Dutch Mayor visits local school

The Mayor of the Dutch district of Wageningen, Geert van Rumund, yesterday visited King David Academy, in Kanombe sector to assess the impact of aid that a school in his district avails to the Kigali school. Pantarijn school of Wageningen has a partnership with King David Academy.

The Mayor of the Dutch district of Wageningen, Geert van Rumund, yesterday visited King David Academy, in Kanombe sector to assess the impact of aid that a school in his district avails to the Kigali school.

Pantarijn school of Wageningen has a partnership with King David Academy.

Rumund is also in the country to mark the 30-year partnership between Wageningen and Muhanga districts.
"I am here in Rwanda, particularly at this school, to see with my eyes some of the projects we have been sponsoring, and we are very much impressed by the work done,” said Rumund.

Speaking to New Times, the Director of the school, Annet Mutamuliza, said Pantarijn School has helped them renovate and equip the school library, clinic and computer lab.

The Netherlands school also pays fees for over 35 needy students.
