Kepler VC edged Rwanda Energy Group (REG) VC in a thrilling five-set encounter of the Rwanda Volleyball League on Friday at Gisagara Gymnasium in the Southern Province.

Kepler, who had endured a slow start to the second phase of the league following a straight-sets defeat to APR VC, showed remarkable resilience to overcome REG in a tightly contested match that ended 3-2 (23-25, 25-22, 22-25, 26-24, 15-13).

The return of outside hitter Romeo Ngabo Rwamuhizi from injury proved to be a major boost for head coach Jean Patrick Ndaki and his side.

REG started strongly, claiming the opening set 25-23. However, Kepler responded swiftly to level the match after taking the second set 25-22.
