Renowned music entrepreneur Ramadhan Mupende, alias Bad Rama, has said that he only has big plans intended to grow his music management, The Mane.

Bad Rama was reacting to comments suggesting that The Mane was on the brink of closing doors since he left for the United States in 2020, prompting the likes of Queen Cha, Marina and Calvin Mbanda to start new life challenges without the label’s management.

The artistes were at the time in dilemma about their future under the record label’s management since their boss was out of the country yet Aristide Gahunzire, who was mandated to handle The Mane’s operations had already resigned.

With the exodus, many thought that The Mane was going to close the doors. However, Bad Rama wasn’t ready to give up.

He did all he could to bring Marina back under his management and brought in producer Ayo Rash to work in his studio. But the absence of Bad Rama came as a huge blow for Marina who has been off the music scene for quite some time.

However, Bad Rama insists that even though operations in Kigali weren’t faring well, the company has kept doing the job in the United States where its CEO was living.

"There has been a misunderstanding because The Mane is not performing badly. The fact that the Kigali branch has not been doing well may be due to some elements in the team that showed signs of slowing down but the management itself is doing a great job. It’s what I always fight for,” Bad Rama told the media upon arrival at Kigali International Airport Thursday, December 1.

"We have so many projects on our agenda that we plan to work on including new music, so many movies and there is something new I am cooking for you that I am about to bring on board soon,” he added.

Only Marina is doing music under The Mane while others have since left.

Asked about whether he plans to sign new artists when his management resumes operations, Bad Rama said, "I’ll think about it”

Bad Rama has a number of big projects in mind that he could run soon, including a fashion event dubbed Silverback Fashion Show’ that he recently unveiled in a teaser that he posted on his social media platforms last week.

"It [fashion] is an industry that I took ample time to follow closely before I decided to venture into. When I do things, I look at what is trending in the world of entertainment and the industry in particular. I am into it and I am going to invest a lot of energy in it,” he said.
