The holiday has almost come to an end, and the excitement of our sisters and brothers has turned into a “back to school” rush. School preparation means that children engage in different activities like shopping, saying good bye to their friends if they are in boarding school and enjoying the remaining holiday time.

School preparation means that children engage in different activities like shopping, saying good bye to their friends if they are in boarding school and enjoying the remaining holiday time.
While some feel that they will miss home, friends and relatives, others believe it’s the right time for school to start.
Nicole Akimana, 12 is a P.5 pupil at Ape-Rugunga Primary School. She said that she is still helping out at home while she prepares for the beginning of the term.
"I am now busy reading my books to make sure that I begin with a fresh mind. But this does not stop me from helping my parents at home; I like washing clothes, and making the bedrooms neat,” Akimana said.
Akimana also said that, "I will miss my friends from other schools but I believe we shall meet next holiday.”
Behura Umuhoza, 11, is a P.3 pupil at Kigali Harvest Primary School. She said the holiday has been too long. She cannot wait for next week to start school.
"The holiday has been long and I must go to school on the first day. I am prepared, my parents have bought almost all the scholastic materials I need,” Umuhoza said.
Umuhoza said it is important for all students to start school on the opening day if they want to be organized.
