The Rwanda Premier League (RPL) has announced changes to its January fixture schedule, including the league’s first-ever match to kick off at 9PM.

The adjustments affect the final matches of the first round of the season. On January 11, Al Merrikh SC will face Mukura VS at 6PM, followed by Al Hilal SC against Amagaju FC at 9PM.

On January 17, APR FC will host Al Merrikh SC at Amahoro Stadium, with kickoff set for 5:30PM. Rayon Sports will host Al Hilal SC the following day at 6PM, while the Blues will play Al Merrikh SC on January 21.

Other changes include Amagaju FC hosting APR FC in Muhanga on January 14, and Mukura VS hosting Rayon Sports at the same venue on January 24.

The revised schedule comes as Huye Stadium, which hosts both Amagaju FC and Mukura VS, has been under construction for seven months and is not expected to be ready before February. To avoid further delays, the RPL has moved affected fixtures to Muhanga Stadium.

Matches that had not yet been scheduled will also be played there. These include Al Hilal SC vs APR FC and Al Hilal SC vs Al Merrikh SC.

The second round of the RPL is scheduled to begin on January 30.
