INSIGHTS :How much is a smile?

Not that costly I presume. In fact, it costs nothing! Wait! I said a smile creates so much. Would you smile after giving staff to the needy? Or would you smile after receiving a gift from a dear friend. Great, we are now singing the obvious but one of the many things a smile does is to enrich those who receive without impoverishing those who give. It happens in a flash, but its memory sometimes lasts forever.

A lifesaver who happens to be a doctor in this case would feel comfortable treating any other patient after receiving a smile of appreciation from a now-treated patient.

The most amazing thing about a smile is that none are so damn rich that they cannot get along without it and none are so poor, but are richer from its benefits.

I would call it a countersign of friends whereby it creates happiness in the home, and fosters good will in health service. And to the weary, it is rest; daylight to the discouraged; sunshine to the sad and nourishes best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good till it is given away! And if the last minute rushes home off duty, your clientele is too bored to give you a smile; may we ask you to leave one of yours?

Since nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to give! One smile to my people in the civil service, one smile to the church goers, artists and another smile to all the kids, I love you.
