Nadson graces your cover this Sunday. So, who is Nadson? As an artist, in the story Nadson details the reason why he chose to join the game (music), the strength and challenges in Rwanda’s music industry, and what he does alongside his music career.

Ronald Rumanyika, a.k.a Nadson, born in May 1984 Mwese-Tanzania, is the third in the family of six children. He started singing at a very young age, from the Sunday school choir.

The "Garuka” singer burst to fame in 2008, after the release of "One Way”, a song produced by the One Way Production, a Kigali based music studio.

Nadson has released 12 songs, including "Niwe”, a song he collaboed with Army Jazz Band’s Sabiiti.

The Hip hop and reggae dancehall artist has worked with different famous musicians, including Diplomate (Rwanda), Tall Man and Daz Baba (both Tanzanians).

However, Nadson says that showbiz is not a game for everyone, but it has its owners. "Many people have been in the game for years but no show, no new tracks.”

The soloist urges Rwandans to develop a culture of loving the local music, and support Rwandan artists.

Nadson is not only investing in music—he is reportedly pursing a degree course in Accountancy from the School of Finance and Banking (SFB).
