Prosecution has launched an extensive investigation into Peruth Biryabarema, the president of health supplements marketing company, Forever Living Products, for allegedly defrauding money from her colleagues.

The investigation follows recent complaints from the company parteners who claimed that Biryabarema had embezzled their money.

"Biryabarema may appear to court soon. We have started an extensive investigation into this matter, it is a complex case that needs thorough investigations in particular areas, but I will not disclose any details now since investigations are still going on,” Prosecution spokesman, Augustin Nkusi said yesterday.

"We need to have substantial evidence to try any suspect; we cannot therefore simply rush someone into courts of law.”

Four of her colleagues Allen Atwine, Claudine Gahongayire, Eugenie Mukamacumu and Melanie Nikuze, claim to have fallen victims to Biryabarema’s alleged fraud worth Rwf8.8 million.
