President Paul Kagame and his Nigerian counterpart Bola Ahmed Tinubu had a private lunch on Sunday and discussed world affairs.

"This afternoon, I had a private lunch with H. E. President Paul Kagame of Rwanda to discuss the current state of world affairs and advancing Africa in an ever-changing global landscape," Tinubu wrote in a post on X.

The meeting was held in Paris, according to Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The two leaders last met in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in January 2025, as they attended the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.

President Kagame attended Tinubu’s inauguration in May 2023.
