Shame on Supersport analysts

Editor,  It’s a shame that the football analyst’s on Supersport, Africa’s premier sports channel, lied to those of us that were watching the game. Those of us who were watching the match (Angola vs Algeria) on Super sport 5(SS5) on the 18th of January were shocked when the Algerian players celebrated their draw against the Angolan team because knew that they had gone through on goal difference.

Editor,

It’s a shame that the football analyst’s on Supersport, Africa’s premier sports channel, lied to those of us that were watching the game.

Those of us who were watching the match (Angola vs Algeria) on Super sport 5(SS5) on the 18th of January were shocked when the Algerian players celebrated their draw against the Angolan team because knew that they had gone through on goal difference.

This, while SS5 kept on showing that Mali would go through on goal difference if both matches ended as they way they ended.

I wonder whether those commentators on SS5 knew about the rules before the games begun. The most interesting thing was that they were calling themselves the best African football analysts!

For the Malian people and their team’s football supporters all over Africa, I am sorry for what SS5 did to us as they raised our hopes that Mali would go through to the quarter finals of African Cup of Nations on goal difference as the SS5 kept on showing it on their updated news until the end of the match!
