Rwandan power forward Cadeaux de Dieu Furaha has signed a two-year deal with Rwanda Energy Group (REG) Basketball Club ahead of the new season.
The 26-year-old joins REG, crossing from Patriots for which he played since June 2024 and went on to establish himself as one of the team’s key players. He helped Patriots finish the 2025 season of Rwanda Basketball League in fourth place.
Furaha, who also plays for Rwanda’s national team, is known for his scoring and rebounding ability.

Before playing professionally in Rwanda, he featured for several teams in the United States, including New Mexico Military Institute, Abilene Christian University and the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
His basketball journey began in 2012 through youth camps. He initially planned to pursue football before switching to basketball.
Furaha has already linked up with his new teammates at REG, ending his stint with Patriots which continues to face major roster shakeup in the offseason where the likes of Steven Hagumintwari and Frank Kamndoh also left the club for Tigers and REG respectively.
