We are all familiar with the saying "All work and no play is makes Jack a dull boy.”

The truth of the matter is that sometimes we all become like Jack if we are not keen in joining extra curricular activities. Outside class activities always have the effect of lightening the burden of our school work.

I remember my school days with mixed feelings. Whenever I would sit to do my homework and revise every evening, my head and eyes would ache from exhaustion. This was all in the name of being the best in class. I never really enjoyed my life.

Our daily life sometimes gets this stressful. The demands of family, friends and school can overwhelm us if we do not take time to relax and have fun.

There are so many opportunities open for us at our schools to join different fun clubs. Instead of sitting around after class doing nothing, join any sports club and play basketball, football or volley ball. If you are not up for this maybe your school Interact, Debate, Wildlife or Drama club will do.

Everyone has a place where they belong and these can make a difference in both your life and the lives of others. Do not spend all your day locked in your room studying instead take time to join friends and have fun.

Since we all want to excel at whatever we do both at school and elsewhere. There is no doubt that a healthy mind is propelled by a healthy body.

Activities will develop your creativity and as well as improve your health status.

If you disciplined yourself to do this, at the end of the day, with hard work and play, your grades will get better at school. Besides life is too short, just enjoy every minute of it.
