The comedy event, held Saturday, December 27, was part of an ongoing 10-day festive entertainment lineup organized in partnership with the City of Kigali, aimed at offering residents and visitors accessible and family-friendly celebrations during the holiday season.
Hosted by Fally Merci, the comedy show attracted a large turnout, reflecting the growing popularity of Gen Z Comedy as one of Rwanda’s leading comedy platforms.
In the spirit of inclusivity and celebration, ticket prices were reduced compared to the show’s usual rates, allowing more people to attend and enjoy the experience. This edition also marked the final Gen Z Comedy Show of the year, closing 2025 on a high note.

The night featured a diverse lineup of familiar faces at the bimonthly comedy concept, including the likes of Muhinde, Rusine, Pilate, Kadudu, Clement, Rumi, and Ambassador w’Abakonsomateri, each bringing their unique style and humor to the stage. Despite most performers having shorter sets than usual, the audience remained engaged and responsive throughout the evening, filling the venue with constant laughter and applause.
Several moments stood out during the show, particularly Rusine’s unexpected yet heartwarming performance alongside his little son. The child confidently joined his father on stage, charming the audience with his innocence and spontaneity, and drawing laughter despite not yet being able to speak, a moment that resonated deeply with the crowd.

Another highlight came from Clement, who delivered a memorable performance by blending music with comedy. Staying true to his signature ‘Inkirigito’ style, he humorously performed a song infused with exaggerated expressions and playful satire, keeping the audience laughing from start to finish.
As part of Kigali’s broader festive program, these celebrations are set to continue until January 1, 2026, offering a range of entertainment activities designed to bring people together, activate public spaces, and celebrate the season through culture, creativity, and community.
